The neonatal unit at St George's is a very special place. Any parent who has seen their baby cared for on the unit will testify to that - and they do. The walls of the unit are lined with stories bearing witness to the incredible journies that babies and their families make. Most of them tell of homecoming, but some are memorials to precious lives that couldn't stay. The short walk along the corridor of the NNU is a humbling and inspirational one and the words and pictures certainly offer hope and courage to families while they are on the unit, and are evidence of the remarkable work that goes on there every day, 365 days a year.
